This is a really easy tutorial for making word bubbles in digital comics using Photoshop (I use CS5)
1.Create a new blank layer on top of the comic you are drawing ( you need a new layer because you’ll be applying an effect that needs to only affect the word bubble and not your actual art.)
2. Go to the “FX” option in your layers menu and drag it until the choices pop up. Choose “outer glow”
3. A window will pop up and change the setting to how ever you like them . My settings are for a regular word bubble and for a page that’s 2000×1500 (adjust if your comic pages are larger or smaller )
4. That’s it ! Set your drawing brush to white and just draw bubbles, the outer glow adjusts to whatever stroke you make
5. And if you need to erase just erase it like any other line/stroke
